When I was at Uncle Daryl's house last year, he was going through some junk in his old bus in the back 14 acres. He pulls out these old Yellow Banana Boards, or Snurfers, and I got excited. He thought they were junk, but I explained to him they were special. One year later, I get a message on Facebook, about how Rich is interested in the history of Snurfing since his neighbor invented them, he even wrote a article for a newspaper. I tell him about these Snurfer's and he is interested. I call my Uncle. tell him someone wants to buy em, so he brings them over while he is picking up the junky truck in my front yard, that's another story. I take a few pictures of them, and them proceed to stand on the board in the snow in my front yard. I felt as if I was ten again, conquering the hills of North Muskegon. I post them on MY FaceBook and now everybody wants them. Two old dusty Snurfers, dry rotting in a shed in the country. I am writing this because some objects in our life can bring us back to that moment, how precious. If you never seen one of these, they were invented in 1965, and are the Grand father of the SnowBoard. The Model T of Snowboards.
